Welcome to Iron County Schools’ ESL web site.

Iron County School District has approximatly 320 English learners (EL). That’s about 5% of the total student population. They are spread out over 15 schools and speak a variety of different languages. The majority of our English learners speak or know some level of Spanish.

The district employs 50 teachers that are English as a Second Language (ESL) certified. This means that they are recognized by the state of Utah as knowledgable and capable educators of English learners. That’s 10% of the total number of teachers.

We are happy to serve our EL students and families. Please feel free to contact us if you have concerns or suggestions.

Thank you for visiting! We hope your visit will be helpful.
