Welcome to Iron County Schools’ ESL web page.

Iron County School District has approximatly 370 English Language Learners (ELL). That’s about 6% of the total student population. They are spread out over 15 schools and speak a variety of different languages. The majority of our ELL students speak or know some level of Spanish.

The district employs 50 teachers that are English as a Second Language (ESL) certified. This means that they are recognized by the state of Utah as knowledgable and capable educators of ELL students. That’s 10% of the total number of teachers.
